We are three product design students at the University of Elisava. We are based in Barcelona and consider ourselves young, passionate and ambitious entrepreneurs. We are eager to get more knowledge and experience in the design industry. For us this is a great opportunity to introduce ourselves as young designers, and Nudo is the first step in our careers.
This project is born from the idea of creating a totally stable hanger without the need of any support system other than the two elements Nudo is made of. A technical and conceptual reference for this project has been Native American's Tipi tents. These are characterized by their resistance and warmth. In relation to our project, we want to highlight Tipi's portable and detachable structure. The first model of this hanger consisted of the union of three pencils, creating a braided-like structure. We were very interested in the shape created: a tripod-like support which was characterised by its endurance and resistance..
“I’m a product design student.
From a young age I had a strong attraction to art and beauty, and everything that surrounds it. I consider myself a creative and sensible person, and I try to apply my personality to all the projects I work on.”
“I’m a design student in Barcelona.
The interest for the artistic world and a strong curiosity for objects that surround us, brought me to the world of product design, a path that I’ve followed with a lot of enthusiasm for the last two years. Nudo marks the start of a professional career which, together with my colleagues, we initiate with optimism.”
“I'm 20 years old.
From a very young age I realized that I had a special sensibility, a sense for the objects that surround us in life. I think of myself as an observer since I believe that by looking you can learn so much. Curiosity is one of the most important attributes for a human being to have, and if you are a designer, that is even more the case. At present I am exploring who I am, finding my path. As a student I want to learn, experiment, and get out of my comfort zone. What motivates me the most is knowing that there is always something new to learn.”
